How it all began

40 Years Experience Holidays on Location is a family owned business specialising in individual and group travel to destinations throughout the world - with a major focus on Europe and Canada.

The company was established in 1979 in Melbourne, Australia as a retail travel agency operating under the Majestic International Travel Service name. 1989 saw the company change focus and move into the special groups and incentive travel market. The wholesale travel division was formed two years later to service the retail industry with specialised tour packages in Europe. It was in 1992, with the release of a structured touring program for Switzerland, that the company finally evolved from a mixed retail and wholesale operator to a pure travel wholesaler dedicated to serving the retail industry in Australia.

Over the years Austrian, German, British & Irish, Pan Europe Holidays (comprising France, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary), Canadian Holidays were added to the product range.

While the individual holidays brands Austrian Holidays, German Holidays, Switzerland Holidays, are well known, Majestic International Travel Service is little known under its own name. With the introduction of new holidays brands it soon became apparent that we needed a new identity to house all our holidays brands under the one name. The name we chose for our new operating identity was Holidays on Location and the company has been operating under this brand name since 2005.

Holidays on Location 's principal activity is the promotion and servicing of its five branded European wholesale holiday products. Holidays on Location is also a niche Special Groups and Incentive Travel operator. The business mix is 60% wholesale brochure product/FIT operations and 40% Special Groups and Incentives.
