What is a Eurail Select Pass?

A Eurail Select Pass gives you the choice of 3, 4 or 5 of the 22 countries to explore.

What are adjoining Countries?

  • The chosen countries must be bordering, and be linked by a direct (not through another country) train or shipping line which is part of the existing Eurail offer.
  • Norway and Denmark are connected by the Color Line Boat connection Hirtshals- Kristiansand. You can add one more connecting country to your Selectpass, like Sweden or Germany.
  • Belgium/ Netherlands/ Luxembourg are considered as one country called Benelux.
  • Serbia & Montenegro are considered as one country.
  • Croatia/ Slovenia are considered as one country.
  • Norway and Finland are not considered as adjoining countries. They have a joint border, but to get by train from Norway to Finland you have to pass through Sweden

Inclusions:

  • Unlimited travel on the national rail networks of any 3, 4 or 5 adjoining Eurail countries that are connected by train or ship (see explanation below).
  • The 22 participating Eurail Select countries are: 
    Austria; Benelux; Bulgaria; Serbia & Montenegro; Croatia/Slovenia; Czech Republic, Denmark; Finland; Germany; Greece; Hungary; Italy; Norway; Portugal; Republic of Ireland; Romania; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland. (Liechtenstein is considered part of Austria).
  • Validity : 5, 6, 8, 10 or 15 days within 2 months.
    Note: 15 day pass only available for 5 country pass.
  • Travel days may be used consecutively or non-consecutively.

A day of rail travel is a 24 hour period from midnight to midnight. This allows for unlimited travel on any number of trains for each day of use. The days do not have to be used consecutively.

Important: Please be aware that once you arrive in Europe, the validity of the passes cannot be changed.

Eurail passes may NOT be purchased by European residents, including residents of the Russian Federation, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.

Pass Issuance Fee

A Pass Issuance Fee of $10.00 per pass will be added to the listed prices.

Notes

High Speed and premier trains require seat reservations. To obtain seat reservations we highly recommend that you pre-purchase your seats as far in advance of your travel date as possible. Passholder seat reservations are limited.

  • Passholders receive free* or discounted Bonus Offers which include selected ferry crossings between:
  • Italy and Greece: Brindisi-Corfu-Igoumenitsa-Patras operated by HML or Blue Star Ferries. A summer surcharge must be paid from June 10 to September 30. Reservations are recommended for July & August.
  • Sweden and Finland: Helsinki-Mariehamn-Stockholm; Turku-Mariehamn-Stockholm; Vasa-Umea operated by Silja Line. Reservations are recommended from June to August.
  • Finland and Germany: Rostock-Helsinki.
