Krakow & South Poland National Parks
Guided and Semi-guided tour 8 days
/ 7 nights – approx. 220
km
Krakow – the old capital of Poland and „the“ cultural
metropolis. The city is situated on the river Weichsel and offers the special
flair of an intact medieval old town (UNESCO World Heritage of Culture),
the castle Wawel, seat of the Polish Kings. Krakow has an easy-going way
of life, almost as a small town. You can loose yourself in the maze of
little passages and experience lived history. Apart from history and culture
you also encounter native nature of three national parks; in Ojców
the bizarre lime-stone formation, the majestic Tatra – the only mountain
massive in this part of Europe with alpine character,
inhabited by a very special people and - last but not least - the Pienjny-massive,
with the
spectacular break-through of the river Dunajec. The balance
between nature and culture offers you insight into the past and presence
of a very interesting region of Poland.
Mainly leading on side roads with scarce traffic,
some short parts leading on cycle paths and nature roads. Some longer
ascents in the mountains, rewarded by a number of longer descents.
Free of charge, guarded garage
at the hotel or unguarded, locked car-park on the
area of the hotel.
Itinerary:

In the afternoon individual arrival at Krakow. Meeting

you the most important treasures of the old capital,
as e.g. the huge market-place, the cloth-mongers halls,

you can taste how normal food tastes … 125 m
below surface. In the afternoon you will be brought
either to the railway station or to the airport of
Krakow. Farewell and individual departure home or extended
stay in Krakow with tours to Auschwitz and Wadowice
(birth town of the Pope).
