Bicycle Tour
Individual single tour 8 days/7nights - approx 290km
 Should you feel, that you owe your body a favour, treat
yourself to this bicycle tour! Numerous spas on your path through the "Austrian
Tuscany" will allow your body to relax. The fresh air and the exercise
on the bicycle - never turning into an extreme sport - will make you
feel well in no time at all. A special treat for your palate: the South
Styrian Wine Street around Ehrenhausen and Gamlitz is a secret tip for
wine connoisseurs. The native cuisine with Steirerkäs (Styrian cheese)
and Styrian beef is something that the Styrians can be proud of. Listen
to your body! Bicycle along
Wonderful bicycle paths, small
side roads, some hilly paths in the vineyards. The
main road only for short passages.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Graz/Unterpremstätten
Information and distribution of bikes. The Cultural
Capital 2003 invites you for an extraordinary city
stroll.
Day 2: Graz/Unterpremstätten – Sulmtal
(approx. 55 km)
Pumpkin Stage
Today’s stage leads through numerous pumpkin
fields to St. Martin. Peaceful towns such as Stainz
are located on the way. The famous Schilcher wine is
produced in this region.
Day 3: Sulmtal - Gamlitz (approx.
40 km)
Wine Stage
Plenty of wine! The most famous varieties cultivated
here are: Riesling, Welschriesling and White Burgunder.
There are some hills to ascend, but you will always
be treated to a beautiful view of the “Styrian
Tuscany” landscape and neighbouring Slovenia.
Day 4: Gamlitz - Bad Radkersburg
(approx. 45 km)
Klapotetz Stage
The Klapotetz is a rattling wind turbine that poses
as a scarecrow. The river Mur leads us to today’s
destination. Here, the thermal spa lures you to relaxation
and lingering in the beautiful quaint town.
Day 5: Bad Radkersburg - Therme Loipersdorf (approx. 60 km)
Thermal Spas Stage
From one spa to the next! Accompanied by soft hills,
colourful pumpkin fields and countless orchards you
bike along the Austrian-Slovenian border to the famous
thermal spa town of Loipersdorf.
Day 6: Spa town Loipersdorf
Pure relaxation! The salutary
water wakes up tired muscles. How about a detour by
bike to Hungary?
Day 7: Spa town Loipersdorf - Gleisdorf
(approx. 55 km)
Apple Stage
Farms as far as the eye can reach. Everything that
tastes good is cultivated here. The best way to convince
yourself is to visit one of the numerous guesthouses.
Day 8: Gleisdorf - Graz/Unterpremstätten
& individual departure (approx. 35 km)
Culture Spurt
One ascent more and then the descent to Graz. We offer
additional nights, if you want to visit numerous places
of interest in Europe’s Cultural Capital 2003.
