General Rental
Condition
- The driver has to be in possession of a valid driving
licence.
Age Restrictions
- Minimum age in Italy is 21 years and the driver has
to be in possession of a valid driving licence for
at least 1 year.
Conditions
of Payment
- We accept all credit cards from internationally recognised
credit card companies - such as American Express, Diners
Club, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa.
- Cash Payment is not accepted.
- For the following car groups 2 Credit Cards are requested:
- SDMR, SWMR (not valid for Sixt Corporate/Company
Cards, Gold Cards and Platinum Cards)
- FDMR, FWMR, SVMR, FVMR
- Sixt CarExpress Servicecard is only accepted in combination
with a valid Credit Card.
General
Insurance Conditions
- Third Party Insurance (TI)
Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented
includes Third Party Liability with a unlimited cover
for personal injuries and material damages.
Excluded from the insurance is the use of the vehicle for the transport of
dangerous goods. All insurance cover as part of the rental contract will become
void, in particular, if an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the
driver of the vehicle does not possess the required driver´s licence
at the time of the event giving rise to claim.
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver removes the drivers
responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of
damage.
CDW is mandatory in Italy.
All rates are inclusive of CDW.
The customer is only responsible for the following amounts:
- EUR 960.- MCMN to CDMR, IVMR, IVAR, CWMR; EUR 1,560.- SDMR, FDMR, SVMR,
FVMR, SWMR, FWMR
- Theft Protection (TP)
Theft Protection removes the drivers responsibility
to a part of the vehicle in case of theft.
TP is mandatory in Italy.
All rates are inclusive of TP.
Customer is only responsible for the following amounts:
- EUR 1.560,- MCMN to CDMR, IVMR, IVAR, CWMR;
- EUR 1,920.- SDMR, FDMR, SVMR, FVMR, SWMR, FWMR.
- Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
- Personal Accident Insurance provides cover
against the consequences of an accident.
- PAI includes up to EUR 26,000.- with an excess
of 5%.
Delivery & Collection
- During Opening Hours
- Within city limits a Delivery/Collection Service
charge of EUR 15.60 applies.
- Outside city limits EUR 1.20 per km will be
charged (a minimum of 30 km will be charged).
- Out of Opening Hours
- Out of hours, a delivery/collection surcharge
of EUR 27.- applies in city offices or EUR 32.-
at airports.
One Way Rentals
- National
For One-Way-Rentals within Sixt locations
in Italy a charge of EUR 36.- applies.
- International
- All international One-Way Rentals are on request.

Cross Border
Rentals & Territorial Restrictions
- Cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following
countries:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg,
Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,
Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
- Cross Border Rentals to Czech Republic, Croatia,
Hungary and Slovenia are only allowed with car groups
MCMN to IVMR. A written permission issued by the Sixt
Headquarter is mandatory to cross the borders.
- In case of offence against Cross Border & Territorial
Restrictions all insurances lose their validity.
Service Fee/Premium
Location Fee
- A Service Fee of 15% on the basis rental rate occurs
for rentals at airport and train stations.
Registration Fee/Road Tax
- A Road Tax of EUR 1.68 per day, max. EUR 35.28 per
rental occurs.

- VAT
All rates are inclusive of 20% VAT.
Extras
- Additional Driver
An Additional Driver Surcharge of EUR 2.40 per day, max. EUR 25.20 per rental
applies.
- Refuelling Charge
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior
to return to Sixt, otherwise our current refuelling charges will apply.
- Navigation systems
Navigation systems are available on request for car groups SDMR, SWMR, FDMR,
FWMR, IVAR, SVMR and FVMR.
- Accessories are disposable on availability.
